Cinematic Wallpapers and Custom Emoji-Laden Wallpapers

The new feature drop enables users of Pixel 6 and newer devices to create cinematic wallpapers that give greater depth and a parallax effect to the lock screen. AI is used to transform 2D wallpaper photos into dynamic 3D scenes for a magical look. Users can also create custom, emoji-laden wallpapers as Google joins Apple in the increasingly competitive field of wallpaper customization.

Upgraded Safety Features, Haptics, and Adaptive Charging

The feature drop also adds more personal safety features and allows you to use your voice to ask Google Assistant on your phone to start emergency sharing or to schedule a safety check. In countries where the Pixel supports car crash detection, you can now personalize the phone to notify emergency contacts and services and share your real-time location within seconds of detecting an accident.

The drop includes upgrades to haptics and adaptive charging, too. Pixel 6A and 7A will now automatically lessen the intensity of their vibrations when on a hard, flat surface, like a table, to eliminate the unpleasant rattling.

Upgraded Recorder App

Finally, the feature drop upgrades the Recorder app to allow video clips of transcriptions complete with speaker labels to be exported for sharing on social media or for use with colleagues. The feature drop will be rolled out over the next few weeks.
