Ariana Richards Recreates Iconic Jello Scene from Jurassic Park for Film’s 30th Anniversary

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 1993 film Jurassic Park, actress Ariana Richards, who played John Hammond’s granddaughter Lex in the film, has recreated the iconic Jello scene.

The Original Jello Scene

In the original scene, Richards is shown gobbling down a dessert buffet in the theme park’s kitchen before pausing in horror. The camera then zooms in on her terrified expression before revealing that she’s noticed the silhouette of a velociraptor lurking nearby.

A Comedic Recreation for TikTok

Richards, now 43, reenacted the spine-tingling, gelatin-jiggling scene on TikTok for comedic effect. The TikTok clip, which was posted to the official Jurassic World TikTok account, features the original scene of Richards looking terrified and newer footage of her re-enacting the memorable moment.

Celebrating Jurassic June

June 2021 is being dubbed Jurassic June by the franchise in celebration of Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary. Though the TikTok clip only features a recreation of the famous Jello scene, the franchise may upload more throwback re-enactments in the near future.
