Harrison Ford Rejects Stunt Performers for Indiana Jones Scene
Harrison Ford, at the age of 80, still insists on doing some of his own stunts in his movies, including Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. During the movie’s opening scene, where Ford’s character rides a horse through Manhattan, he refused the aid of stunt performers to get down from his horse.
Ford’s Rejection of Stunt Performers
After completing the opening sequence of the movie, Ford’s stunt performer approached him to help him get down from the horse. However, he refused to take any assistance to make it look more accurate for a person of his age. Ford described the incident in an interview with Esquire, stating, I thought, ‘What the f**k?’. Like I was being attacked by gropers. I look down, and there are three stunt guys there making sure I didn’t fall off the stirrup.
Despite their concerns, Ford wanted to do it himself: Leave me the f**k alone, I’m an old man getting off a horse, and I want it to look like that!
